Coffee with Riff

Good morning lovely people.... So a few weeks ago, I blogged a card I made for my friend Julie, and as I explained at the time there is also Annie and they are affectionately known by me as Riff and Raff and last weekend it was her birthday...  

Annie's card was going to have to be classy and pretty, as a self proclaimed princess, whiches were not going to cut the mustard for Annie... So to the ever faithful LOTV box of stamps I went and as when ever the two of us meet up for coffee it turns in to a three hour session lol, I thought this stamp called "Coffee Break" would be perfect...She loves the garden and the out-doors, so I tried to give it a bright summery feel, in her favourite colours, topped with lots of flowers...

Good afternoon all...I'm afraid it's gonna be a quicker than normal post from me today.... (This may please some of you lol...) I've been knocked down by a spiteful virus, that has been with me for nearly two weeks, so awake is the M.E and bed rest it is....and I hate bed rest, my body may fail me but my brain wants to continue, all be it with considerable bouts of brain fog....

So onto todays post.... which may inspire you, hopefully to take part in the new challenge at "Digi Galore".... I Can't Wait!!!

Good morning lovely people.... So I'm trying you make a Christmas Card every fortnight to try and be prepared, yeah right I hear you cry lol.... Well with good intentions and all of that, I am sharing another Christmas make using a Lotv Stamp ..This one is called "Wishing and Waiting" and is still available...I coloured the image with Promakers and a few Copics and matted the image and the papers onto Kraft card...

My friend the Witch!!!

Hi all.... So a few weekends ago, I had a lovely week doing things I love for some lovely people, oh and my friend Julie's birthday  lol... (just joking).... 

So I have two friends from work, Julie and Annie, affectionately known as "riff and raff" and you may have surmised that the banter between the three of us flows freely and makes the days "such fun"....  So the other week was Julie's Birthday and like most friends there are standard jokes between us, which I won't bore you with, but suffice to say Julie's usually involve the words "Witch" and "Broomstick".... So when I saw this fantastic digi stamp called "Call Me A Witch" from Bugaboo it was perfect.... It seemed to go down well too, when she opened it...phew...!!

So I made a frame from grey shimmer card and used the same card as a mat, for the paper which were from the "gorjuss" range...

I downloaded another little broom digi for the inside, also from bugaboo stamps and after die-cutting it I inked it with "Pumice Stone"

It's difficult to pick up, in the picture but I used a "wink of stella" on the buckle and the top of the stick...

Floral Notes...

Hi... So my second post is also my second piece of news, I am delighted to share with you that I am now part of the DT for Digi Galore Challenges ... The challenges are run monthly, on the first of each month. This month's challenge is sponsored by the beautiful Aurora Wings and is "Alter a Notebook and/or Floral". So you can do either, or both, which is what I decided to do... This sort of project was a first for me and pushed me way out of my comfort zone lol.. I wasn't entirely happy with the result but I would certainly like to make another, having learn't so many do's and don'ts just by making this one project...

 I used the digi stamp Pansy 3  and fussy cut it out....I used some 12 x 12 double sided paper in contrasting colours and covered the front back and inside covers. The trim was made using a daisy punch in orange card. I layered the cut out digi onto a fancy rectangle die-cut in the same orange card.

and the back cover.. I covered the spine of the Note book with grey shimmer card.

The scrabble letters, were stick on embellishments ...

Spring Time and Cake!!

Morning all.... It''s May!!! already, I can't believe how quickly this year is going, Imust be getting old lol...  So lots of news to share today and two posts, yes two...

So on with the first post.... It's challenge time over at TTPH today at our new monthly challenge and the theme is spring colours. This will be my last DT card for Through the Purple Haze, I have the most amazing time there, with such a lovely team, but for me it's time to move on...Our sponsor this month is "Scrappers Delights" and I was given the lovely 'Honey Cupcake' to use and this is how she came out....

I kept the layout quite simple, as I went for a fancy shape and mainly stuck to colours in the contrasting papers....
