Coffee Time

Hi...As always thank you for dropping by.. So George has returned from the States and normal teenager grunting has resumed, so all is well.
After suffering from crafter's block (I blame it on the heat) I found some inspiration from one of my favourite staples LOTV.... This was mainly due to fact they had a price promotion on, so in my humble opinion it would've been rude not to indulge... I treated myself to a few stamps and a few paper packs. I thought I showed excruciating restraint in buying so little lol....

So on to my first creation. I have wanted this stamp for ages, as I think it symbolises a lot of friendships that are nurtured over coffee (and maybe cake!!!) Or this that just me?...
As usual I coloured with Promarkers, mat and layered the papers. I then made holes using a pokey tool and sewed the edges using lilac embroidery thread fixed. I then fixed a ribbon onto the centre mat. I then attached the image which I die cut using  Nestabilities and then made and glued on a double bow thanks to a simple YouTube tutorial from Jak Heath....

Card for Stu

Hi... Sorry I haven't posted for a little while, life has been of madness proportions, the last week or so. After two years of planning, my youngest son George has flown to Florida with his school. Getting a 15 year organized and packed without screaming because every answer you receive consists of a shrug of the shoulders or a "Dunno" probably deserves a complete blog post of its own... Although secretly the house is way too quiet without him....
Then followed, my partner and best friend Stu's birthday, due to his disability Stu's memory is often a source of humor between us as he says he cant remember things, ( I think us females call it selective memory lol) and I spend my life repeating things. So when I saw this stamp from Bugaboo Digi Stamps, I knew it was perfect for his card....

So I kept it quite simple as I wanted the stamp to be center stage.. I cut four squares in contrasting papers and matted them onto black card then matted the digi stamp and positioned it with 3D strips...

Sunday 6 July 2014

Hello.......Well you've managed to find me so can I thank you so very much for taking the time to stop by and join me on my new adventures... Firstly here on my new blog, where I hope we can chat, have a coffee and share inspiration.. Secondly and most excitedly I have been asked to join the DT for TTPH Challenge Blog (Through The Purple Haze) from August, so I'll have competition news and inspiration for you too.

So to the first card I would love to share with you is using LOTV image Christmas Bunnies in a Stocking. I know, I know a Christmas Card in July but I am really trying to be organised, yeah like that'll last... The paper was from a magazine freebie, matted onto Kraft card stock. I used distressed ink on the edges of the paper, the stamped image, the rose and the sentiment, which was created on the PC. The Stars are created by using the memory-box die precious-stars. This is such a handy die to have, I quite often use the star or the bow part on their own as separate embellishments... ... I coloured the image with Promarkers...
